Winter
In all of its frozen glory
I am not a big fan of winter except for the beauty that we see when we venture out during these darker, colder days.
The coldest season of the year, winter is characterized by shorter days, longer nights, and the potential for snow and ice, especially in temperate and polar regions. Winter can be a time for various activities, including: snow forts, skating, skiing, snowboarding, tobogganing, plus so much more.
The word “winter” comes from an old Germanic word meaning “time of water,” referencing the rain and snow of winter in middle and high latitudes. In some cultures, winter is a time for introspection, reflection, and preparing for the new year. Snow-covered ground and frozen lakes create a serene atmosphere, as Mother Nature seems to pause and reflect herself.
Bring winter landscapes into your space and enjoy the great outdoors everyday.
